Welcome to My Online Portfolio

A  colleague recently told me that I'm a formidable instructional designer, because of my grasp of adult learning theory and my ability to deliver on it. I have a passion for this stuff. I love the variety of work I get to do--from scripting the initial storyboards through visual design and crafting the experiences.  Here you will find a little bit of my work. Gamification and Simulations are gaining more attention as the industry discovers the flexible way these modes of teaching can be used. From serious gaming in government training to more relaxed approaches in the corporate world, there's a lot to take ideas from.

eLearning Content Delivery

eLearning courses are a favorite mode throughout the industry for content delivery. There are some good reasons for that. It is a great way to deliver self-paced content, it can make dry content more engaging, and when you blend it with other modes of learning, you can get a more versatile experience.

About Me

I help people get it

We've all experienced it - that moment when learning goes from tedium to interesting. Suddenly you're engaged.  You can feel the shift. You start making connections and you see how you can make a difference with your work.  The experience is always incredible.

I live for creating those moments - it's what lights me up. Having been in the training world for over 20 years, I've been pursuing them since I first saw it happen in a local science center where I was teaching.  eLearning, gamification, workshops - I do it all to create those moments.
